Title :  LinkedIn and Indeed: the impact of recruitment 2.0 on jobseekers
Author(s) :  Alexandra, Masciantonio ; Ambre, Zugno
Abstract :  The emergence of new technologies has profoundly transformed the professional world, redefining not only work processes, but also recruitment methods. In this context, the aim of this research is to examine the consequences of recruitment 2.0 for jobseekers. An experimental approach based on fictitious scenarios was proposed. Two hundred job seekers were assigned to a fictitious job search scenario varying under four experimental conditions: on LinkedIn, on Indeed, through newspapers and without specification (control condition). Results showed that job seekers experienced more satisfaction, well-being, perceived efficacy, and less stress when imagining applying for jobs online (LinkedIn and Indeed) compared to a traditional job search. Contrary to our expectations, social pressure was higher on LinkedIn compared to a traditional job search. This research therefore extends the perspectives on the conceptualization of recruitment 2.0, highlighting the importance of distinguishing online platforms. The research also offers a significant contribution to the literature on job seekers, and in particular on the implication of application practices on psychological resources. However, it should be noted that this research has limitations inherent to the use of fictitious scenarios, thereby underlining the need for further field research to validate these findings.

Title :  Developing awareness of the meaning of courageous managerial action through reflective practices: a path towards developing managerial courage
Author(s) :  Lucie, Morin
Abstract :  Reflexivity, which this exploratory research addressed in order to raise awareness of the meaning of courageous action, appears to be a promising avenue to support the development of managerial courage. Grounded in a collaborative approach, this study had two objectives for its participants: to collectively analyze moments of managerial courage while simultaneously enabling their self-learning. Its methodology invited participants to engage in a reflexive process and to take part in the data collection by interacting with the researcher''s theoretical framework and analysis. The originality of this approach lies in the connection of two apparently disparate concepts - managerial courage and reflexivity - to explore their potential for interaction and formative aggregation. The results presented in this article appear promising in terms of the links they weave between reflective practices and the development of awareness of the meaning of courageous action. Moreover, they may suggest ways of supporting reflective action in difficult or risky situations where personal integrity is at stake, as required by situations that call for managerial courage. Five central themes emerged in the course of the research as being able to support the exploration of the meaning of courageous action: professional identity; noble objectives; personal values and beliefs; obstacles to individual action; and sense of responsibility. The links identified between managerial courage and reflexivity open the door to future research into their implications and potential uses in organizations.

Title :  Outplacement support as a regulator of the identity work of individuals in professional transition: an analysis of outplacement practices
Author(s) :  Diego, Martin-Sanchez
Abstract :  While periods of transition in people''s careers are currently common, these pivotal moments can collide with an individual''s identity. As a result, such an individual undergoes an identity process that can be influenced and regulated by the discourses and practices to which he or she is exposed. In the context of a professional transition, outplacement support can be offered to facilitate an individual''s transition. The aim here is to explore the question of outplacement, with its tools and practices, as a regulator of the actor''s identity work following a job separation. Our study is based on a documentary review of 22 presentations of individual outplacement services, triangulated with ten semistructured interviews conducted with French support professionals. A reading of the materials using floating attention, as well as thematic and theoretical coding, enables us to see outplacement as a regulator of the identity work of individuals experiencing professional transitions. Upon receiving support, an individual’s exposure to specific social identities, conveyed by particular discourses and the promotion of specific practices, can skew the person’s identity work, raising the question of whether outplacement as a standardized tool can limit the individual''s freedom to perform his or her identity work. Although the study is limited to an approach based on outplacement practices mobilized by support professionals, the follow-up of reclassified individuals will enable us to study in greater depth the effects of outplacement on the identity work of individuals undergoing professional transitions.

Title :  How are digital careers shaping up? A look at three new ICT professions
Author(s) :  Agnès, Ceccarelli ; Axelle, Lutz ; Mourad, Chouki
Abstract :  This article examines how careers are developed in new digital professions: project managers, designers, and developers. It begins by presenting the literature dedicated to the concept of careers, emphasizing the distinction between frameworks for studying traditional models and new ones. The latter frameworks, governed by different logics, have an impact on companies. Therefore, they represent a significant organizational challenge, particularly in terms of employability and psychological contracts. Our qualitative approach is based on a survey conducted with twelve professionals in the digital sector. This exploratory study highlights the training, experiences, and key events shaping their career paths. The results reveal several characteristics consistent with a nomadic career model, even taking the form of a trajectory. The results also illustrate how these paths can be chosen or undergone and how a key element of these new careers is employability. To optimize the latter, recommendations are put forward that call for the joint involvement of the individual and the organization, as well as a redefinition of the psychological contract. Future work will explore how organizations conceptualize and implement career management in new digital professions.
