How to strengthen the impact of articles published in Ripco?
Actions that authors can take to promote their own article(s).

Several strategies that contributors can use to promote their articles published in the RIPCO. Here are some:

  1. Using social media: Researchers can share links to their articles on their Twitter, LinkedIn, or Facebook accounts. Social media has become an effective way to share information and promote research articles. By posting a tweet with a link to their article and tagging @RevueRIPCO on Twitter or RIPCO on LinkedIn, authors can reach a wider audience and draw attention to their publication. By tagging the Ripco, authors also allow the journal to see their tweet and potentially share it on its own social media channels. This can significantly increase the visibility of the article and the journal.

  2. Participating in conferences: Conferences are an ideal place to promote research work. Researchers can present their articles during sessions and roundtable discussions, and thus connect with colleagues who share similar interests.

  3. Publishing abstracts on research sharing websites: Researchers can publish abstracts of their articles on websites such as ResearchGate or Academia.edu. This can help increase the visibility of their work and find potential collaborators.

ResearchGate is an essential tool for authors seeking to increase the impact of their publications. By adding their publications to the platform, authors can increase their visibility, stimulate collaboration, and find opportunities to fund their research. To add publications to ResearchGate, authors need to create a free account. Once registered, they can add their publications to their profile, either by uploading them directly or by simply adding bibliographic references. The publications are then made available on the site for other researchers around the world.

Academia.edu. is also an essential tool for authors looking to increase the impact of their publications. By adding their publications to the platform, authors can increase their visibility, stimulate collaboration, and find opportunities to fund their research. To add publications to Academia.edu, authors must create a free account. Once registered, they can add their publications to their profile, either by uploading them directly or by simply adding the bibliographic references.

  4. Adding publications to Mendeley: Mendeley allows managing bibliographic references, creating bibliographies, and identifying citations of research in the scientific literature. By using Mendeley, authors can easily organize their work and stay up-to-date with new research in their field. Adding publications to Mendeley is simple and quick. Authors can import journal articles and books from various sources such as Google Scholar, online databases, publisher websites, or PDF documents.

  5. Use of email: contributors can send an email to their network of contacts, including a link to their article. This allows them to reach a targeted audience that may be interested in the subject of the article.

  6. Writing articles for blogs: Researchers can write articles for blogs in their field of research. This can help them reach a wider audience and share their work in a more accessible way.

  7. Using digital libraries: Digital libraries such as Google Scholar and PubMed are places where researchers can make their articles available to a wider audience. These libraries offer a convenient way for researchers to find and access research articles.

  8. Collaborating with media:Researchers can contact journalists or media outlets to make their research work known. This can be done by writing press releases or offering interviews. Media can help spread research results and make them accessible to a wider audience. Using outlets such as Xerfi Canal, an online audiovisual review, The Conversation or Fnege Media can be a very effective way to promote one's article.

  9. Participating in scientific popularization projects: Researchers can participate in scientific popularization projects such as videos, podcasts or articles for mainstream magazines. This can help make research more accessible and raise public awareness of scientific issues.

  10. Creating a personal website: Researchers can create a personal website to promote their research work. This can include links to their publications, information about their academic background, and news and updates on their work.
The actions that RIPCO undertakes to promote its articles:
  1. Indexing in databases: Ripco is currently indexed on Cairn for the French version of articles, on Cairn International for the English version of articles, and on Google Scholar for all bibliometric data and on several ProQuest aggregator collections, including the ProQuest Sociology Database, the Social Science Database, and the Social Science Premium Collection. This means that articles published in Ripco can reach a wider and international audience by being present on these different platforms. Indexing on Cairn and Cairn International allows the journal to be accessed by subscribers to these platforms in both French and English versions of the articles. Indexing on Google Scholar allows the journal's impact and visibility to be measured globally. We are doing everything we can to have Ripco articles indexed by Scopus and Clarivate, but this requires a significant international impact, which can be challenging for French journals. That is why our awareness campaign aims to increase the impact of Ripco articles in order to strengthen our visibility and get closer to this indexing goal.

  2. Promotion on social media: RIPCO uses social media to promote newly published articles. This may include creating social media accounts for the journal or using existing social media accounts to share articles.

  3. 2. Join our mailing list: RIPCO frequently contacts its subscribers to share new articles published, upcoming events, or updates about the journal. Click here to add yourself to this mailing list.

  4. Translating their articles into English: To reach an international audience and expand their readership, RIPCO translates all articles into English. This can help reach a wider audience and increase the impact of the research published in the journal. Publishing articles in English can help non-native English speaking authors reach an international audience and improve their visibility. RIPCO encourages authors to submit articles in English and offers translation or language editing services to help authors improve the quality of their English article.

Bien-être / Mal-être au travail
Coordinateurs: Nathalie Bernard et Virginie MOISSON
Date limite : 31/12/2026
