The valorisation of an approach by narrative is part of the logic of an epoch which is characterised by narrativity, a consequence of the need that the individual has to formulate for himself the meaning of his own existence. Narration refers to two figures of subjectivity: one where intersubjectivity is a condition of the subject, the other characterised by selfreflection as a condition of independence. Being solicited to enter into a process of life history as a process of development is an offer that can promote the construction or consolidation of one or other of these figures. What is at stake is the fact that this process, as a social practice, may be a part of the reinforcement of cohesion, for a story that is too easy to read, or support a process of comprehension for an opening to a better acceptance of an open meaning. In this way, promoting processes of identity withdrawal or working towards more alterity. |
