Résumé : |
It is difficult for management to cope with religion. However, religion imposes itself to managers and managerial practices when it comes to adjusting finance, marketing or human resource management to the beliefs of people and to the religious context of markets. The article explores how religion challenges management. It examines how the issue emerges within organizations under the more managerially correct concept of spirituality, in the US context for example. It eventually proposes a third path: if management is a human science, it might discover in religion, some very insightful knowledge that appear to be pretty helpful when traditional references are put into question. |
