By analysing a few examples, chosen because they involve classic problems of work organisation and because they bring politics into play (by the type of theme treated, the type of sponsor organisation and the social context of the intervention), we try to analyse in what way our interventions are acts of a political nature: the position of an intervening third party and the production of third party objects as supports for the construction of a new meaning and a new project, which depend, more or less consciously for the client as well as for the consultant, on values and stakes of civilisation. Although this conception of the profession constitutes an objective to be reached, it is however not always easy or possible to implement, which can then create disappointment in the consultant. |
