Résumé : |
This article proposes to discuss the definitions of life histories which are often both very different and sometimes implicit in different authors in the field. One can speak of the "definitional unknown", a neologism created here to show certain pre-suppositions relative to the definition of notion. Only two expressions "life history" and "life narrative" and one adjective "biographical" are discussed here hut there are many implications. The author defends a generic and anthropological definition of life history which hegins with daily life. He also refuses the slipping of the meaning of the term "biographical" as a synonym for "relative to the course of life", which seems to him to imply considerate ethical and epistemological drifting. Rather than a tendency to reification, the author defends a conception of life history as part of the dynamics of a process. |
