Résumé : |
For Maurice Halbwachs, History begins where collective memory - tradition - ends. It thus has an history, deeply involved with that of the memory of men, developed in a livedthrough time, rather than in the abstract time of docks and stars of a History without subject. To transmit this memory, our own, together with that belonging to the traditions and ways of life and of thinking which constitute individual and collective identity, such would be the function and the ambition of autobiographical life histories. How can such life histories, recomposed and published (passed) by a third person, give access to an understanding of situations and processes underlying all groups and all societies, such is the question that this article attempts to investigate. |
