Résumé : |
During the agricultural and industrial eras, man relied successively on the land and on manufacturing. His skills enabled him to manage his daily organisational routine, which was stable and regular, and was carried out thanks to repetitive procedures, which were patiently learned over time. In the contemporary ‘hyper’ era, man as an ‘actor-traveller’, has to find his way through unpredictable situations, radically changing trends, moments of crisis, and diminishing resources. His skills no longer possess, in sufficient quantity, the diversity required, since the knowledge society has generated an ‘information obesity’ where the brain has to sift rigorously and in subtle ways, before reaching any meaningful interpretation. He proceeds very cautiously: it is the age of competences. Only commitment and determination enable man to withstand the critical nature of events and avoid organisational dysfunctions. In terms of intellectual resources he is caught in a conflict of disciplines between Franco-european psycho-sociology, which the Americans call Organizational Behavior, and management sciences. This article develops some aspects of these challenges. |
