Résumé : |
Starting from the distinction established by Erving Goffman between “primary” and “secondary adjustments”, this article aims to analyze the strategies and resistances of the supermarket cashiers. Based on an ethnographical fieldwork in France, the paper draws up a typology which reveals the specific contradictions of the work organization in retail. |
