Where does the application of psychoanalysis come in when related to the realm of pedagogy ? Freud believed that it would be the analysis of the child by a "pedagogue-analyst", Hans Zulliger countered this by taking into account the collective dimension. But at the same time Zulliger remained in the Freudian camp of Croup psychology and the analysis of tbe ego. The community was held by the power of fascination of the master. It was not until the work of Bion and its influence on Lacan that Freud's theory of the predominance of "vertical identification" over "horizontal identification" was called into question. This led to a new understanding or the application of psychoanalysis to pedagogy wich was to be developed by Institutional pedagogy. |
