We have observed that, similarly to the birth-rate recorded amongst the different types of population, French entrepreneurs with foreign origins – vietnamese origins specifically – show greater dynamism than native French entrepreneurs. This study attempts to shed light on such a phenomenon and to answer to a number of questions – Is this linked to the fact that such a population corresponds to a lesser secured category of people who are constrained to start from scratch again? Is it the result of the full achievement of an immigration process? Does the way identity is dealt with the hosting country have an influence? What is retained, what is given up? For example, why are French citizens with Vietnamese origins less efficient entrepreneurs than American citizens with Vietnamese origins? |
