Résumé : |
The engineers are a highly skilled population sought by companies which are aware by the need to retain them in order to maintain their competitiveness on a more and more competitive market. That is why studying them is an important issue for companies. This research aims to study the socio-demographic, professional and individual characteristics influencing career success among engineers X (35-50 years) and Y (24-34 years), and to highlight differences between these two cohorts. For this, we have a sample of 758 employees graduates of top French engineering schools and use a methodology for analyzing interaction effects. The results confirm the link between the objective and subjective career success and identify the differences in perceptions and expectations of engineers X and Y in career matters. |
