The purpose of this exploratory research is to question the future of internal mobility in large organizations. The research is based on the analysis of 52 semi-structured interviews and participant observation conducted in two large French firms with high stakes in terms of internal mobility, AutoForm and Société Générale. The results highlight the tensions and ambiguities that faces intra-organizational mobility in its implementation. Through the neo -institutionalist theory, we explicit barriers surrounding internal mobility and then question its future within large organizations |
