Résumé : |
In spite of the irony of many philosophers, the suspicions of sociologists and the irritation of economists, business ethics still arouse the interest of the professionals of management. This suggests that it is not a only a fad. This article proposes an interpretation of this phenomenon: these discussions on ethics are the medium companies use to participate in the discussion on the changing values of our society. This might explain why these discussions keep on going while they do not modify in any significant way the behavior of economic agents. |
