While a lot of studies have already highlighted some indicators of work flexibility/employment security, few empirical studies have taken the workers’ needs into account. Therefore, the aim of this study is to better understand how work flexibility and employment security may be complementary in order to define a good job, by highlighting the workers’ needs in these terms. To this end, we carried out sixty interviews in twelve Belgian’s organizations. Results show : (a) the complementarity of work flexibility/employment security and employment quality, (b) the workers’ needs in terms of flexibility/security and (c) an homogeneity concerning the needs, regarding to the gender or the status. |
