The irruption of the market into the plans for reform of the school system invites us to question the concept of Public Education as it was historically drawn up during the French Revolution. It appears that the idea of a school market is in no way foreign to the original conceptions of this institution. That is what this article proposes to show by examining the theory of the school market defended by Mirabeau. This sort of anamnesis also invites us to a wider questioning of the traditions of liberalim. |
