Research in strategic management has developed an art that it has consumed up to its excess : the one of talking about nothing. And especially not about irritating topics. This is how it became inaudible : because it had nothing to say, nothing to propose, nothing to suggest, nothing to impulse. Nothing. Of course, one may say it is an exaggeration. A caricature. This is obviously right however it is this feeling that led the author to engage in scientific adventures of a new kind : getting involved in the trial that pitted Jérôme Kerviel against Société Générale. The following diary, held in 2011 and 2012, reflects this engagement, reproduced as it was written, without modification, just followed by a note dated 2018. It describes the investigation as it unfolds, far from the usual methodological paragraphs, uncovering the construction of a voice, the difficulties of reflexivity and performativity. It says nothing but what the author can say, armed with management sciences, about the development of his inquiry.
