Résumé : |
From concepts of emotional competences and learning skills, this research paper addresses the following issue: “how is it possible to identify future executive manager’s skills within a manager?” For many years, several researches, in USA, have been studying Emotional Intelligence, assessing its strengths and weaknesses for business sciences. However, in France, this is not a common research topic. Learning styles and skills have been studied for about twenty years. This article examines relationships between emotional competences and managers’ learning skills. Several research purposes are defined. The sample was composed of managers and executive managers of a French company. Evaluation of emotional competencies and learning skills was made with questionnaires. These quantitative analyses show that, on the one hand, emotional competencies and learning skills are different between executive managers and managers, and, that, on the other hand, emotional competences contribute to learning skills efficiency. |
