This article tries to etablish how « woman manageriality » emerges between social role construction and professional identity self-construction. An empirical approach is chosen to build new hypothesis to understand the process. 10 French women managers living in Paris are interviewed. Research aims to identify out singularity in woman management career development. Stories are divided into in 3 sequences. The first one deals with initial education and training, the second one described the taking in charge of the first team, and the third one shows the cycle of experiential and emotional learning. All three sequences explain how a woman emerge as a manager. In male-oriented organization, the analysis shows that women need to help themselves to achieve their goals of becoming manager. The issue propose to explore how horizontal feed-backs can play a role in reflexivity. In consequences it seams useful to explore how woman autodidactic sociability facilitates woman manageriability. |
