In this anicle, Elliott Jaques explains why he rejects the conclusions of his first works along with the use of psychoanalysis to help improve the functioning of organization. To produce what he calls "the requisite organization", an adequate system of interconnected roles has to be built with clearly defined responsibilities and powers. This action on the structures is what is essential and it avoids paranoia and makes the use of psychoanalysis unnecessary and even dangerous. Help can he provided for the development of organizations thanks to the discovery of four methods of mental treatment of informarional complexity that would seem to correspond to the different hierarchical strara necessary for any organization. |
