Résumé : |
The representation of personal trust in managerial trust studies is based on a specific restricted view of social relations. Generally, trust is viewed in a rational and optimistic form which provides multiple benefits. But this well-established form only accounts for a fragmented reality of social relations. In complement, the critical perspective aims to go beyond this conventional perspective. It then depicts trust as motivated by rational search for all its benefits, including those based on abusive use of trust. Two others view of trust –the ethical approach and the perverse approach- are stressed to overtake rational personal trust, particularly by encompassing the weight of emotions. Conventional, critical, perverse and ethical conceptions are the four figures of a personal trust typology. It eases a rigorous diagnosis of trust relationships at work in organizations. |
