This article deals with the issue of leadership learning, especially with young and unexperienced students. This has been often considered as impossible by the mainstream French management education system, despite the obvious lack of leadership competences of most students coming out of universities and grandes écoles who have a more traditional manager profile than a leader one. The innovative and very efficient Finnish Team Academy experience shows that leadership competencies can very well be developed with young students, but with a quite different educational approach based on team learning, coaching and working exclusively on real business and enterprises issues. Many intersting lessons could be drawn from this very interesting experience to improve the mainstream French management education system. |
