Christian Bourion obtained his Doctor d’Etat ès in Economics . He served as Master Assistant and Lecturer at the Faculty of Law and Economics of Nancy before becoming Associate Professor (HDR) within ICN Business School. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Commercial Institute of Nancy (Article 33) and to the ICN Business School. In 2005, he became Managing Director of the Lorraine Management Pole and the Nancy Commercial Institute, while also serving as Editor-in-chief of RIPCO.
At retirement, he was awarded the distinction of Faculty Honorary Professor and RIPCO’s editor Emeritus.
His research focuses on Organizational Behavior but what’s innovative in it is his activity of digging the information from the documents.
Dr. Bourion obtained thousands of user’s experience feedbacks among which were some from the author’s post-print. With this information, he could develop his own “observatory”, encompassing thousands of experience feedbacks in a dozen of various domains. He then utilized a specific methodology in order to improve his data retrieval method.
He worked in the Management field for RIPCO for 13 years, successfully directing the journal toward its exploratory research in theory. For example, although he wasn’t the only one to have done so, he discovered the “bore-out syndrome” in 2015, a bustling theme within the media at that time. His 2011 RIPCO article was gradually “acclaimed” by over 200 interviewing requests from journalists and demanded appearances in over a thousand media outlets. On French television he appeared on: BFMTV, Canal Plus, France TV, Fr3 Lorraine, M6, and TF1. In the press, he was quoted in: Le Monde, Libération, Les échos, The Times, l’Obs, Entreprises et Carrières, Grandes écoles et Universités magazine, and Le Matin. And on radio, he was interviewed on: France Info, France Inter, RTL, Europe 1, RFI, Radio Canada, and Sud Radio.
